May 2011 - Act 1 Youth Theatre Group went to The Lighthouse Theatre in Poole where they were selected to perform extracts from their own version of Billy Elliot in a showcase with several other amateur companies from across the region. Pending this outcome, they may get to perform in the West End! Watch this space
September 2013 - we raised £346.02 for the chariity SANDS during our bucket collection held during the week of Phantom of the Opera.

ACT 1 volunteered their time to help with technical support for Gelli Primary Schools production of Annie Junior at the Phoenix Theatre.

During our pantomime ALADDIN, all money recevied for the programmes raised £189.80 for the Charity LATCH
ACT 1 management attended an awards ceremony at the Parc & Dare to receive funding from "Treorchy Wind Fund" where Rhys Williams received a cheque from Cllr Chris Bryant

During Les Miserables we did a bucket collection and raised £327.26 for MacMillan Cancer

During our European Premier of GHOST we did a bucket collection for the British Heart Foundation collecting £122.25 thanks to our audiences.

During out production of BARNUM we held a bucket collection for Noah's Ark appeal raising £215.68
During our production of Grease in 2015 we held a bucket collection and raised £161.13 for Children With Cancer UK. THANK YOU.

On 31st March 2018 ACT 1 Theatre Group held their 10 year Anniversary Ball at Ton Pentre Football Club.
During our Christmas Concert "The Story of Christmas", we raised £154.25 for "The Huggard Centre" in Cardiff for the Homeless.

June 2012 - Elliot Howells arranged a fantastic fundraising Event at the Phoenix - The Magic of Musicals.

Act 1 organised a musical charity evening at the Parc & Dare Theatre, Treorchy in aid of Help for Heroes where they not only helped out with technical equipment but also performed extracts of their production "13".
